********************************************************************************************************* MOST RECENT ENTRIES -*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-* Wednesday, February 07, 2007 Anniversary & hols After a week away from work I feel like I've come back for a rest - and it's busier now than it was when I left! The week off was wonderful. Tiring, but fun. We must've walked for miles! In the end we didn't go anywhere special, but just having time together was nice. Paul got me the DVD of the live show from last year of Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of The War of The Worlds (as we both love the book and that version of it). It was quite strange in some ways - as they have managed to incorporate Richard Burton into it. We ended up watching it in the wee small hours of the morning. Once we got started we had to watch it all. Justin Hayward still sounds fantastic. I had to chuckle at Paul though. Until he watched the DVD he didn't know that it was Justin who sang on The Eve of the War. I was a bit shocked that he didn't know that, but there you have it. Turns out that they've doing the tour again in December this year... we'd both love to go, but the tickets are already selling fast and they've not been available for long! I gave Paul a set of posh kitchen knives (including a meat cleaver) as he's always wanted some. It was a bit hard trying not to give the game away a few days before, as he was looking at some! Can't remember what else we did now, but I did enjoy being off. posted by Unknown -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- // *END OF NEW ENTRIES* \\ |
