********************************************************************************************************* MOST RECENT ENTRIES -*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-* Friday, March 02, 2007 BBC does deal with Google/You Tube News came out this morning that the BBC has struck a deal with Google to have three channels on You Tube. When the deal comes in, they will have a clips and trailers channel (which they hope will bring people to the new online iPlayer service they're hoping to launch soon, as well as increase viewing of their tv shows), a BBC Worldwide channel (with advertising, and as a clips channel with clips from popular shows) and a news channel with about 30 news clips a day which will also be on Real but is only for people outside the UK. It's controversial, as many people think that the beeb are spending too much on online output, but I personally think it reflects the importance of the internet and online technologies in this day. Personally I'm looking forwards to the new developments. posted by Unknown -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- // *END OF NEW ENTRIES* \\ |
