If you ever have a flu jab, don't expect to not go down with flu! I had a jab at the beginning of the year, and yet 4 weeks ago I went down with a really bad bout of the flu! I've only been back at work for a week now, but thankfully they've been great here. I can't believe how bad I was, it was nearly three weeks, and I've still got a terrible cough (as is normal with me!). I don't think I've had flu like that for a good 3 or 4 years! Still, I'm feeling better now. Which means that we've finally been able to pop over to see our new niece! We went over last night (after about 2 months of trying!). She's lovely, and seems to content and even tempered - although apparently when she has a paddy she really goes for it! She's a bit like Maggie from the Simpsons though, because she's permanently sucking on a dummy, and - just like Maggie - when you take it out she carries on with the sucking motion! Paul felt a bit guilty afterwards that he'd hogged her, but I think everyone knew that he was just making up for lost time. Grandma and Grandpa have little 'fights' over her... everyone loves her to pieces, and she's going to be a spoilt little girl!
